Teresa Rivero is an IBCLC who provides lactation and infant feeding support for parents in Northern New Jersey. She believes in working together using a goals-based approach to create an infant feeding plan tailored specifically to your family's needs.

With an educational background in Psychology and Sociology, Teresa has always felt drawn to assist those in need. Prior to her work in lactation, she spent 10 years providing social support to New York's elderly population and the visually impaired. Having her first child in 2017 inspired her to change career paths after struggling with feeding her newborn and facing challenges during the postpartum period. Teresa was devoted to educating herself and took numerous classes including DONA's Postpartum Doula workshop and Healthy Children's CLC certification before pursuing her IBCLC. Teresa interned at Jamaica Hospital and worked with parents in the postpartum unit, educating families on best infant feeding practices and techniques. She actively seeks to improve her quality of care by advancing her education in lactation, infant movement, tongue ties, and all things related to infant feeding and the postpartum period. Teresa lives in Essex County with her husband, son and daughter.  She enjoys long walks, reading, and listening to 80s and 90s dance music when not chasing after her children.
